About the maker
“I have a special ability to see beauty in everything that surrounds me, and a deep desire to create it with my own hands. It is this that led me to the art of jewellery.”
Since childhood, I have bгeen captivated by an old book on jewellery making. I would spend hours studying its ornaments, miniature flowers and intricate patterns, never imagining that one day I would make this craft my own. At the time, I did not yet have words for this feeling, but I already sensed that within these lines lay a quiet strength and deeper meaning.
Over time, this feeling became my inner compass.
My love of art shaped my educational path: first through the study of drawing and painting at college, and later through art history at university, where I developed a deeper understanding of the language of form, symbolism and aesthetics.
Travelling across Europe and discovering the legacy of Italian masters revealed beauty to me as a conscious choice — not only to contemplate it, but to create it with my own hands.
My professional journey began at a jewellery school in Prague, where I was drawn not to contemporary trends, but to ancient techniques capable of expressing depth through form.
This search led me to Tbilisi and the art of ancient cloisonné enamel. It was there that I first truly experienced the alchemy of craftsmanship: metal and glass pass through fire, transforming into miniature works filled with light and life.
Working with different techniques revealed new dimensions of craftsmanship to me.
This is how my own artistic language took shape — uniting mastery of form with metaphysical depth.
A name born of inspiration
I gave my creative world a name — Omalgami.
It is not found in any dictionary, but was born intuitively — like a formula that cannot be translated literally, only felt.
Within this name, three elements come together:
- “Om” — the sound of beginnings, the primal impulse, the breath of creation
- “alga” — movement, growth, continuous evolution
- “mi” — a personal signature, a mark that each piece passes through my hands and inner experience.
Omalgami is not merely a name, but a principle by which my jewellery is created.
It is an inner formula — an alchemical fusion in which love of art, craftsmanship and human experience become one.
Today, Omalgami jewellery is created by hand in Prague.
Each piece is made consciously and without haste — with attention to detail and inner meaning, reflecting the individuality of the person who chooses it.
Brand Philosophy
